About Thomas Carlson

My name is Thomas Carlson. I was always the artistic type. Did a lot of drawing while growing up. I used to draw pictures to give to my girlfriends. So when I got my first computer, it wasn’t long until I was fooling around with graphics programs. Like most people I started with the basic paint program. Then I got my hands on Photoshop and Paintshop Pro and started making little forum signature graphics. I knew what I really wanted to do though, and I was putting myself on the path to making it happen. I wanted to make my own T-shirt designs!

I got my start at making t-shirt designs by submitting a design for a contest for a blood drive while I was enrolled in college. I ended up winning First Place and the excitement started to build from there. I started making tons of skull designs and opened my first website called skulltshirts.com

That website lasted for 3 years and did very well. But keeping up with the orders was hard and time consuming. Not really that glamorous! That lead me to find a site called Cafepress.com and I opened several stores on there with a theme for each store. Along with my Cafepress stores I was also opening stores on a site called Zazzle.com
